MacMasters can handle any type of MacBook repair! All you have to do is bring in your Apple computer, and we’ll get to work immediately diagnosing the problem and get it fixed right away. We have technicians who have been doing Apple computer repair since the iBook was Apple’s consumer laptop product, so we know exactly how your MacBook repair should go!
We have all the right tools for MacBook repair. This is one of the most important parts of making high-quality repairs. In many cases, it takes special screwdrivers and adhesive products to get a MacBook taken apart and then put back together correctly. If an uncertified, inexperienced MacBook repair technician does certain types of damage during the initial repair, your computer could be irreversibly damaged anyway by the time they get through with it!
We can do a wide range of MacBook repair services, including the following:
- Replacing the RAM chip
- Replacing the Unibody fan
- Changing out a bad AC adapter
- Repairing an audio jack
- Screen issues
- Installing additional RAM
- …many more!
At MacMasters, we’re glad to offer as many services as possible to accommodate our customers’ growing needs. We go to great lengths to make high-quality, reliable repairs!
The MacBook is a harder model to identify than the MacBook Air and the MacBook Unibody. Many times, we have to run customers’ MacBooks through the laptop identification system to be completely sure which type they have. While the basic MacBook was discontinued in 2010, we still see these computers all the time and can make effective MacBook repairs on them, as well as their successors, the MacBook Unibody and the MacBook Air.
In addition to MacBook repair, MacMasters also does many laptop upgrades in-house, so you don’t have to send you computer off to Apple, only to be told by the industry moguls that your laptop isn’t worth fixing and you need to fork over a couple thousand dollars for a new one! Some of our MacBook upgrades are listed here:
- Removing the battery from a second-hand machine, making it lighter
- Reformatting your hard drive and reinstalling the operating system
- Adding a hard disk drive
- Adding an optical drive for writing CDs and DVDs
- RAM upgrage
- Adding spacers
- Adding eGPU
All of these upgrades aren’t available to every MacBook owner, so you’ll need to bring your device in to our Phoenix-area store and let the MacMasters pros tell you for sure which upgrades and MacBook repairs will benefit you most.
A Word of Caution about DIY MacBook Repair
We often get the question, “Can I do this myself?” Yes, some people are bold enough to ask a MacBook repair business if they can do repairs on their own, without our expert help. We say yes, but very tentatively.
You can find thousands of YouTube videos showing people just like you who claim that MacBook repair is easy and totally something you can do yourself. We’re glad these people have figured out how to work on their own devices, but the bottom line is this: If you don’t feel comfortable, don’t do it! You could cause even more damage to your laptop, making it impossible for even a professional to repair.
In addition, you’ll have to buy the correct tools for MacBook repair – tools that are so tiny and so specific that you’ll probably never need them again, and you wouldn’t be able to find them anyway! Also, you run the risk of voiding your warranty with DIY repairs and upgrades, so it’s usually best to find a certified service provider to do the work for you.
